Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Account Executive to help grow and support customers deploying OOR’s autonomous USVs and ocean intelligence solutions across maritime and environmental markets. You’ll lead customer engagements across defence, marine safety, environmental monitoring, offshore energy, and research sectors—working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure mission success while expanding long-term account value.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer relationships, and real-world ocean operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Opportunity Development- Identify and qualify new business opportunities using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry research, and professional networks.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline across target sectors.
Full Cycle Customer Relationship Management
- Own client relationships from first contact through contract, deployment, operational use, and renewal.
- Identify expansion opportunities: repeat missions, additional sensors/capabilities, new geographies, multi-year programs, and cross-department use cases.
- Provide a high-quality customer experience grounded in clarity, follow-through, and trust.
- Support the development of technical bids, quotations, and proposals with engineering and product teams.
- Translate complex mission requirements into accurate, compelling solution recommendations.
Product Demonstrations & Mission Showcases
- Lead discovery calls, deliver platform walkthroughs, and conduct live demonstrations of OOR’s USVs and data capabilities.
- Support field trials and customer site visits as needed.
CRM Excellence & Forecasting

- Maintain detailed and accurate pipeline data in HubSpot.
- Contribute to forecasting and sales reporting with clear, structured inputs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless customer handovers and mission success.
- Provide feedback to improve internal processes and strengthen customer outcomes.
Market Insight & Customer Advocacy
- Act as the customer’s voice internally, sharing insights to inform product development and strategic choices.
- Stay current on trends in autonomy, environmental monitoring, and maritime domain awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally in ocean tech, robotics, security, or environmental markets.
- Proven self-starter and highly motivated sales leader with a track record of driving pipeline growth and closing complex deals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder accounts and complex procurement processes.
- Experience preparing proposals, bids, or grant submissions.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (HubSpot, Sales Navigator, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple accounts concurrently.
- Familiarity with ocean technology and marine operational environments.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Nice to Have
- Experience with government, defence, or regulatory customers.
- Background in ocean technology, marine robotics, or remote sensing.
- Field or mission support experience, including sea trials.
- Familiarity with uncrewed systems (USVs, AUVs, UAVs).
- Knowledge of maritime sensors (AIS, radar, EO/IR, acoustics).
- Experience with innovation programs or R&D funding.
- French or other multilingual capability.
- Experience in a high-growth tech or startup environment.
