USV Operations Technician Intern - Victoria, BC
Are you a recent grad looking for a 12-month internship working in ocean technology? If you dream of exploring remote ocean environments with advanced robotic technologies, we’ll take you there.
About Open Ocean Robotics
Operating on the ocean around the world from Victoria BC, Open Ocean Robotics (OOR) is a growing startup transforming how we understand our oceans through better data. We are leaders in solar-powered Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) that voyage inhospitable ocean environments autonomously for extended missions. Combined with advanced sensors and data analytics, producing no greenhouse gases or risk of oil spills, our USVs offer a safer, more effective and affordable way to gain ocean insights. We are transforming how we study, protect and use our oceans, and are driven by a pioneering spirit to push boundaries and make the seemingly impossible possible.
We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. We encourage applicants who reflect diversity in thinking and background as we continue to develop our culture of inclusiveness for all.
We’re on a quest to find a USV Operations Technician Intern to join our Ocean Services team to operate our USVs, plan missions, and execute deployments globally. If you’re passionate about the oceans and interested in being part of a team dedicated to learning more about the seas using sustainable, affordable, and safe techniques, we’d love to hear from you.
